BOYD THE GREMLIN: Boyd is a happy-go-lucky fellow who enjoys practical jokes, Will Ferril movies, and sour candy. He has bad breath and questionable grooming habits, but a good little heart.

RUBY MAE: Ruby Mae just wants to hang out, cuddle, eat strawberries, and tell jokes. She likes humming birds, cats, friendly dogs, and squirrels. She would live on egg nog if you'd let her, but she'll settle for cinnamon tea.

8.5 inches tall, with an arm span of 7 inches. Ear span is 10 inches when they're flopped forward.

She is made from a recycled fuzzy black jacket. Her eyes and butt are are hardware and recycled buttons. Her mouth is pink fabric with recycled zipper teeth. Her ears are cotton.

Ruby Mae is designed for an adult or older child, and should be loved gently. She makes a great next-to-your-computer companion.

DUDLEY: Dudley likes birthday cake, popcorn, snickerdoodles, gummy bears, and cheese. When he's not enjoying snacks, he hangs out with the neighborhood cats & dogs to swap stories about 'what happens when the human pets are gone.' Always good for a chuckle.

Dudley is made from an Italian Merino wool sweater that 'someone' accidentally shrunk in the washer. His eyes and butt are made from hardware and recycled buttons. His nose is a scrappy recycled button, and his teeth are made from a recycled zipper.

Dudley is designed for an adult, teen or older child, and should be loved gently. He makes a great next-to-your-computer companion.

Bumper is a handmade monster ready to find a new home where she can hang out with a loving human pet.

BUMPER: Bumper collects leaves, shiny objects, and unusual rocks. She enjoys watching bugs, fingerpainting, and singing songs that she makes up as she goes.

Bumper is a *small* creature: 7 inches tall, with an arm span of 6.5 inches.

She is made from a recycled sweater. Her eyes are hardware and recycled buttons. Her butt is hardware with a star button. She has a large rhinestone for a nose, and her teeth are made from a recycled zipper.

PINKIE: Pinkie is an extrovert who likes to entertain. She sings, she dances, she tells bawdy jokes. Along with too much lipstick, she wears too much perfume, flirts too much, and drinks too many stiff martinis. Her motto is: What would Joan Collins do?

Pinkie is made from a recycled pink sweater that has little silver sparkles in the fabric. Her eyes and butt are made from hardware and new and recycled buttons. She has a small rhinestone belly button.

Welcome to the Land of weird monsters, whimsical stuffed animals, angsty creatures and geeky aliens...

I'm a soft sculpture artist who creates unique, handmade monsters, aliens, stuffed animals, and creatures. I've been sketching crazy little monsters and creatures since the second grade and--about ten years ago--decided to bring my sketches to life in plush form.

Each creation is filled with goofy humor and good energy, and I *love* making them. (And most consist of 60-90% recycled materals.)

My primary selling venue has been the e-commerce site Etsy. They were founded on a commitment to handmade creations, authentic vintage, and crafting supplies. However, recently Etsy announced they will soon allow mass-produced items to be labeled as 'handmade.' I feel this is not only dishonest, but also will bury truly handmade creations under a mountain of mass-produced 'stuff' labeled as handmade.

In protest, I've moved my online creature shop to Zibbet, which is truly dedicated to the integrity of handmade. Starting this blog is part of my journey to share my creations and to share articles about the future of handmade in a world that likes mass production.  :)

Introducing Pinball, one of my unique handmade monster-creatures.

PINBALL: Pinball is a curious seeker of adventure. She loves traveling to new places, meeting new people, and trying unusual spicy foods. She likes kayaking, white water rafting, sky diving, roasting marshmallows by campfire, and sharing stories--the more embellished & outlandish the better.

Most of my creatures are made from 60-90% recycled materials, including wool sweaters, recycled buttons, and hardware.
